Never Been Thawed

Never Been Thawed was hard to watch at first.  I had to get used to the mockumentary’s style and humor. The film is based on the life of Shawn Anderson.  The audience is taken through the life of Shawn and is informed of his two passions.

His first passion being, Mesa Frozen Entrée Enthusiast’s Club which is a group who collects frozen entrees and discusses them.  His second passion is his band the Christers.  The band’s name was originally The Reach Arounds but it was modified to have a better chance of signing a record deal.

The camera shots were very poor to add some realism to the film.  I loved how the acting made every scene feel awkward.  It made it seem the audience was analyzing a real situation, even though it was ridiculous.   The only thing I did not like about the film was it seemed repetitive.  Making fun of collectors and religion over and over gets tiring. It is definitely funny at first though.
